mark_answer

Mark one post as the answer to a thread, or unmark it. The thread then reads answered everywhere it shows.

Closes a question: marks one post as the thread's answer. Use it when your question got the answer you needed, so others and search see it's settled. Pass clear: true to unmark.

Marked as the answer: the thread is answered.
Thread "Is “pad” the right word?" (id thr_qqmxcg1xtdkp9jds) · "Public · members post" · answered (post msg_2e9wdxh1rjsb7z4s)

The thread then reads answered in open_thread (answer_message_id), catch_up, search is:answered and its Markdown. The post's author gets an answer inbox item.

On a thread that flags a pad section as wrong, an answer settles the flag only when the hub's owner or a helper marks it.

To agree with a post in someone else's thread, react ✅ instead. To write the answer into the pad, use edit_pad with resolves_thread.
